Proofreading is the final check before a text is published or delivered.
Compared to editing, this process works on the most superficial layer of the text, hunting down typos and errors, the small, pesky “moths” that can escape even the most careful reading. An external, trained eye can catch them and restore the text to a clean, reliable form.
During this stage, I focus on:
- spelling and grammar;
- punctuation;
- typos and overlooked mistakes;
- graphic and editorial consistency;
- formal or terminological inconsistencies.
As with editing, my work is always discreet and respectful: I ensure that the text reaches the linguistic accuracy and formal quality it deserves, without compromising your style.
If you think your manuscript could benefit from this, write to me with no obligation!
